News Release via Bess Press
Local, family-run book publisher Bess Press recently announced their acquisition of fellow local publishing company, Editions Limited.
For many years, publisher Gaylord Wilcox, with Editions Limited, has become known for specializing in high-quality photography-rich books and has contributed greatly to capturing classic elements of Hawai‘i’s history and culture.
“This acquisition provides us with the opportunity to continually meet the demand of niche market consumers and to perpetuate the high integrity and quality of the Editions Limited’s book list in a contemporary marketplace comprised of both print and digital forms,” Bess Press Director David DeLuca says. “Book buyers and all those interested in the preservation of Hawaiian tradition and culture can expect to see many titles from Editions Limited, at one time out of print, coming back with a flourish.”
Some of the new titles Bess Press has acquired are:
- Akule
- Yesterday at Kalaupapa
- Through a Liquid Mirror
- Hawaii Goes to War
- Pōhaku
- Na Pule Kahiko
- The Early Mapping of Hawai‘i
