It’s time…it’s time…it’s Book End Time! Welcome to this week’s Book End, highlighting the week’s literary and library events here in Hawaii.

Hawaii Book Blog is mobile!  We’ve had a mobile version of the website for a couple months now, but for those of you who do a majority of your browsing on a smartphone (iPhone, Android, etc.), then I’d recommend taking a second look at HBB.  We’ve revamped the mobile feature, and now it’s even easier to read the latest HBB posts with the flick of your finger.  There is also a nifty drop down menu that will let you view all of our tags and categories for quick browsing in addition to a search function.  So whether you’re on your computer, our on the go, HBB is more accessible than ever.

Google+ is the latest hit in social media, even though they are still in a beta testing phase.  Hawaii Book Blog has joined the Google+ bandwagon, and if you’d like to follow us there, you can by clicking here.  We’ll be slowly adding to our profile in anticipation of Google+ taking off.  In the meantime, if you haven’t already, I’d recommend liking us on Facebook and following us on Twitter.  You may also notice that we have added Google’s +1 button to the top of our posts.  Please feel free to show us your support of HBB by giving our posts a +1!  All you need is a Google account to do so.

The Borders liquidation sale is still ongoing!  This past week I visited Borders at Pearlridge Mall, and they still had quite a large selection of books available for purchase.  Even better, their Hawaiiana section was already at 20% off.  A few days earlier we had visited Borders at Ward and their Hawaiiana was still at 10%, although this could have changed in the past week.  It’s too late to support the store, but if you’re looking for a few dollars off that book you were going to buy, now is the time to get some new books for lower prices!
