- Zumba Gold Demonstration – Ida Patykula, a local Zumba Gold instructor, will demonstrate this popular dance style aerobic exercise that has taken the world by storm. Zumba Gold participants usually range in age from 50 to 80 but it is fun for any age. Kapolei Public Library; 10:30 A.M. For more information on this 45-minute program, call 693-7050.

- Friends of the Waialua Public Library Book Sale – Friends of the Waialua Public Library holds a book sale at the library every 3rd Saturday of the month! There is also a bake sale at the book sale. - Children’s Storytime – If you’re living on Maui, near Lahaina, come to the book store and treat your child to a fun reading of keiki books! Barnes & Noble Lahaina (325 Keawe #101); 10:00 A.M. For more info, click here.

- The Art of Origami Folding – This three-hour workshop is designed for all origami enthusiasts, from beginning to advanced students. Origami expert Scott Macri will demonstrate how to make a variety of origami models and there will be a question-and-answer session. Paper will be provided and participants can take home their origami creations. The public is invited to view a selection of Macri’s origami models currently on display at the Library through July 16. - Chef Ed Kenney on “Biting Commentary” – Chef Ed Kenney (Town in Kaimuki & Downtown at the Hawai‘i State Art Museum) and The Hawai‘i Farmers Market Cookbook – Vol. 2 will be featured on the next episode of HONOLULU Magazine’s Biting Commentary with John Heckathorn TV series, presented by Hawaiian Airlines, airing on KGMB9 on Sunday, July 17, 2:30 pm. - Hawaiian Surfing Author Talk Event – John R.K. Clark will be presenting his eighth and newest book Hawaiian Surfing: Traditions from the Past. His informative talk will be followed by a book signing, refreshments, and informal discussion. The public is invited to attend this free presentation and books will be available for purchase.
