Friday, July 2

- 10:30am – “It’s Book Time w/ Ronald McDonald!” at Aina Haina Public Library. Ronald will provide a fun-filled interactive performance that will engage children with a creative mix of music, magic, and games, all intended to reinforce the idea that reading is fun and books are an important part of each day. - 10:30am – “Sing Along with Uncle Wayne Watkins” at Kihei Public Library (Maui). Wayne Watkins will inspire children to get up and move with him as he strums his acoustic guitar and sings a variety of children’s songs. More info

- 04:30pm – “First Friday Keiki Read Aloud!” at Basically Books in Hilo (Big Island). On the First Friday of each month, our staff will feature several new children’s books to read. July’s selections are Too Many Mangos and Kohala Kuamo’o. More info
- 05:30pm – First Friday Event with Author Odette Rickert at Basically Books in Hilo (Big Island). Their July guest is Odette Rickert, author of the visually and poetically lovely book The Seas Stay Waiting. More info
Saturday, July 3
- 10:00am – Meet the Author Book Signing with Tiki Tales at the Designing Wahine Emporium in Makawao Maui July 3 from 10-11am, right after the parade.
- 11:00am – Children’s Storytime at Barnes & Noble Ala Moana. Featuring Dino’s Love Underpants! More info
- 1:00pm – Book Signing at Barnes & Noble Kahala Mall. Chefs Eric Leterc, Vikram Garg, Hiroshi Fukui, D.K. Kodama, Ed Kenney, Tylun Pang and Dean Okimoto of Nalo Farms will sign copies of their latest cookbook, The Hawai’i Farmers Market Cookbook, Volume 2. More info
- 1:00pm – Author Signing at Barnes & Noble Ala Moana. Meet author Crystal Watanabe and learn the fun of styling healthy foods into delicious, neatly packaged art with both bento basics and advanced techniques.
