It’s time…it’s time…it’s Book End Time! Welcome to this week’s Book End, highlighting the week’s literary and library events here in Hawaiʻi.

Sorry if we are missing any events this week.  Due to our trip planning, I wasn’t able to delve into my usual research.  I did however want to highlight some of the great events happening this weekend, so please enjoy what we have.

We’re Outta Here!

Yes, Hawaii Book Blog needs a vacation!  Just to let you know, we’ll be out of the country in the sunny and warm United Kingdom for the next two weeks—a week in Scotland and a week in London.  Should be a blast, we’re both extremely excited and stressed out.

As for the blog; our plan was to queue up a bunch of posts to spread out over the next two weeks in our absence.  Unfortunately, time has been our enemy and we haven’t had as many opportunities to write things up.  So if you don’t hear much from us, sorry!

We promise to come back from our trip with a vengeance as we have many reviews to write and many books to read.  Mahalo for following us.

Lee Cataluna

If you didn’t attend Wine & Words this past Wednesday, you missed out on a hilarious event!  You can still recreate some of the magic this weekend as Ms. Cataluna will be reading at Native Books on Saturday and UH Manoa on Sunday (details below).  Misty and I are sad that we won’t be able to attend these readings, but were glad we got to see her and some great performers read from her book at Kumu Kahua Theatre.  So, go to the readings and take lots of pictures for us.  You’ll bust a gut, promise!
