The first day of the 7th Annual Hawaii Book & Music Festival is all pau, and Misty and I are exhausted!  I did want to share with you just a few of the great photographs we took at this literary celebration, to hopefully entice you to come back on Sunday.  Here they are:

Darrell Lum and Eric Chock set up the Bamboo Ridge Flash Fiction fun at the Author's Pavilion. Guests picked "themes" based on classic Bamboo Ridge works and the "Flashy Eleven"---contributors to Bamboo Ridge Issue #100---had to come up with works, ON THE SPOT, and then read them for our amusement. It was an awesome exercise in writing and if you missed it, you missed out.

If you’re coming to the festival on Sunday, be sure to visit us at the First Book-Oahu / Hawaiʻi Reads tent.  We’re located next to the Author’s Pavilion by the Mission Memorial Auditorium (view the map here).  We have free bookmarks to pass out, plus we are selling our awesome literary t-shirts.  Also, First Book-Oahu are selling $1 bookmarks to raise money so they can purchase books for impoverished children, so please help them out, too!
