Constance Hale, a north shore native and author of several books on grammar and style, was a hit at the Hawaii Book & Music Festival yesterday. She packed a lot of great info into an hour and left the audience wanting more. The good news is, she also organizes and leads a writer’s retreat on Oahu. Tonight is the opening of the 2nd Annual Mokule’ia Writer’s Retreat, and although the registration for the retreat is now closed, there are still informal afternoon/evening events open to the public this week. Featuring national and local authors and artists, there are writing workshops and discussions happening Monday through Wednesday so you can participate even if you’re not staying at the camp.
Update: error on the flier, the public programs are Tuesday May *6* and Wednesday May *7*
